I arrived at Al Taqaddum four days ago.
TQ is a nice base. The chow hall serves 3 hot meals a day. There are real showers with hot water. Most of the officers have there own room. Every one sleeps in an air-conditioned space. I am now the S-4 Logistics Officer and Camp Commandant for Lakeside. Camp Commandant is responsible for facilities maintenance.
Overall I think it is going to be a fun and productive 7 months.

I am a USMCR LtCol that may be headed your way for deployment number two with OIF... Any googe you can provide on facilities, amenteties, frquency of indirect wake ups would be great.

I don't think they have started yet, as it seems the previous group has not yet left.

We're upgrading the combat helemts of Marines and received a donation targeting the Marines in or headed for Camp TQ. Any one have a Marine or unit we can contact to receive/distribute the upgrades? docbob@operation-helmet.org
